Adopt a American Pit Bull Terrier / Terrier / Mixed

Hi! My name is Darwin, sometimes people call me D. I'm a shy 3.5 year old boy who is looking for someone who will love me forever. Are you the one I've been waiting for?
Right now I live with my foster parents and two foster brothers. My foster brothers and I get along really well, and I LOVE to run around the yard and wrestle with them! Sometimes I can play a little rough, and my foster parents have to remind me to calm down. I am really good at taking corrections, even though I may talk back a little! My foster mom says that I like to let her know what I think by making some funny sounds. I know "sit" and "kennel," and take treats with a gentle mouth. When my foster parents leave for work, I hang out in my kennel and have no problems. Sometimes I even like to take a nap in my kennel with the door open! My foster brothers and I all sleep on the floor in dog beds, although sometimes I like to walk around the room a little bit before I fall asleep. My favorite thing is when I get to lay on the couch with my foster parents, and I always like to put my head in someones lap. I'm very responsive to touch. I like to chew on toys, and play tug with anyone who will play with me.
I would be best fit as a second dog, I need a buddy to wrestle with. I will need some training to help with a few things, as I can get pretty scared meeting new people. It takes me a little while to calm down after meeting new people, but with patience I become a calm sweet boy. My foster parents and the training staff at KCPP have been working with me, and I am learning! I also prefer a home with no small kids and no cats.
