Looking for a sweet dog with a heart of gold? Look no further than Mya, a 1-2 year-old Boxer/Lab mix (and a touch of Great Pyrenees perhaps?) female with long legs and a slim build. This lovely and very photogenic pup is super friendly with people and other dogs that she's met. She loves wrestling and playing chase with other dogs so we do want to place her in a home with another canine pal or two and an aboveground fenced yard. In her foster home, once playtime is over, she settles down nicely in her crate for a snooze. Mya needs a lot of exercise and is easily bored if she doesn't have enough to do. She would do best in a home where her family is around much of the time as she's very social. Mya lived with kitties in a previous foster home and never had any problems with them but as a young dog, if a cat runs, she might chase for fun. She has not had any accidents in her crate in her foster home so with patience, consistency, and guidance should pick up the housetraining rules in her new home. Mya can be protective of her food around other dogs so mealtime must be closely supervised. She walks nicely on a leash and would make a great walking or jogging pal. Mya weighs about 51 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She's spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it's a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email

if you're interested in Mya. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren't comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 48 hours so if you haven't heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn't landed in there. Please visit our website at www.caninelifeline.org to see more photos of Mya and to submit an online application.
