Adopt a Wirehaired Fox Terrier (long coat)
Tyke the Dog needs a home
Tyke is a 1.5 year old Wirehaired Terrier, weighing about 11 pounds. He gets along well with the other small dogs in his temporary foster's home and enjoys napping under a blanket on his foster's lap. He is a little shy when first meeting, but attaches to his special person quickly. He is moderately active, loves to grab a sock and race around the house to play. Tyke is crate trained and sleeps quietly in a covered crate all night; however, he shows barrier aggression by reacting when the kennel door is being closed. Tyke is available for adoption into a an adults only home.
Tyke's foster mom had this to say about him:
"Tyke is a little sweetie pie. He hangs out just fine with both dogs and cats but is not interested in playing with them. He likes to sit next to or follow around his favorite people. He is fond of sleeping under any and all blankets. Due to his hair type, he seems to do best in a little sweater for the cold weather. There have been a couple accidents but he mostly does pretty good with going outside. He loves to kiss and greet you with lots of love. He not a fan of being left alone but seems fine and happy when you return. He barks at new people but warms up to them quickly."
His minimum adoption donation is $295 plus a $10 fee for rabies registration with McLean County Animal Control.
He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
