Meet Amigo! This handsome boy is a 1-year-old lab and border collie mix, weighing about 45 lbs. Amigo can't wait meet his forever family!
Foster update: Amigo is doing great in his foster home. He even passed his cat test! He is very sweet, smart and happy, and he made himself right at home already! He walks well on the leash, but like most dogs, Amigo will need some work on leash training. He loves playing with toys and a good round of catch. He's already learning a bunch of commands--sit, down, wait, touch, come. He is a VERY smart and trainable guy.
For more info on Amigo, read below and email [email protected] !
In the house he loves to perch on the couch and stare out the window at the world going by. Amigo is doing VERY well with house training. No accidents! He loves running around with his squeaky toys and sitting by the window to watch other doggies, squirrels, birds, and all that fun stuff outside. Amigo also settles down very nicely in his crate when he's alone.
Like his name says, Amigo is ready to be your best pal! At one year old, Amigo still has plenty of puppy energy, so he will need lots of long walks and play time to burn off his energy. As a young lab, he will show some puppy behavior, but he is ready to learn. Amigo would love to be your walking buddy or running partner. With his energy, he may need more than walks, looking for lots of playing and running. On the other hand, this sweet boy has learned the importance of vegging out on the couch and long naps in the sun.
Get to know your new best bud, Amigo!!! Fill out and submit an application for this sweetheart!
Like most shelter dogs, Amigo may need a refresher on house-training, but his foster says he is doing really well with house-training so far! He is likely crate trained.
The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Sheila at [email protected] !
