Adopt a Domestic Medium Hair / Dilute Calico / Mixed (medium coat)
Hita 2 the Cat needs a home
HISTORY: HONEY B, her sister HALEY and their brothers HALBERT and HUTCH were found living with their mother HITA 2 under a shed by an employee at a government agency in Santa Fe. HITA 2 was tested later and found to be FIV+. However, as is typical with many FIV+ cats she has no symptoms, is in excellent health and expected to live a normal lifespan. While conventional thinking is to only place an FIV+ cat in a home with no other cats or with another FIV+ cat, there are many “mixed households”. According to Cornell University, the primary mode of Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) transmission is through repeated fights resulting in the exchange of blood, and it poses no threat to humans or other species. If you would like to consider HITA 2 for adoption but need more information on FIV, please feel free to e-mail [email protected] so we can provide you with links to educational websites.
TEMPERAMENT: HITA 2 is a very sweet, affectionate, sociable and lovable kitty who will make a great addition to the right home. She is a beautiful girl with a medium-length coat and dilute calico markings.
