Dancer is a beautiful young girl who had a rough start- she was born with a medical issue which caused a stricture to restrict her esophagus. By the age of 8 months, she was severely emaciated and her growth was somewhat stunted due to the lack of nutrition caused by the stricture. She came to us and received surgery, which allowed her to blossom into a beautiful and healthy girl. She has gained much need weight and continued to grow and fill out. At her last recheck, her esophagus was working normally and the damage from the stricture had resolved: based on the rate her esophagus emptied, her doctors felt she won't have any further issues. She no longer needs a Bailey chair, as she can drink and eat her food from the floor with no issues!Dancer is currently in a foster home with both small and large dogs and is social with all of them. She is a smaller GSD, due to her rough start, but has a nice big bark. She is very friendly with people and children and bonds easy with everyone. She walks nicely in a harness, is housebroken, crate trained, and makes a great family member. She would do well in an active home, has been doing really well in her foster home, and is now ready for a family of her own!
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
