Petunia comes to us from a rural WV shelter, where she was an owner surrender. We think she's a Whippet / Rat Terrier mix, but there might be some Boston Terrier in there... you be the judge. She's a healthy 14 pounds, has lots of energy, and generally acts very much like a puppy. She's in a foster home with other dogs (large & small) and she gets along well with everyone. She loves to play pull-tug, loves toys, and loves to give kisses. She's a super friendly girl, and greets everyone with a wagging tail. We don't know how she is with cats. She absolutely needs a fence, as she LOVES to run off-leash, and she runs fast, like a greyhound!
The ideal home for Petunia would have a large, fenced-in yard area where she could run off-leash and get the daily exercise that her breed demands. An electric or electronic fence is not an option for Petunia. She'd also do best with a canine sibling to play with, run with, and just have fun. It would be disappointing to have her on-leash for the rest of her life.
