Pilgrim the Dog needs a home

Heartland Weim Rescue is NOT a shelter, we are a group of volunteers fostering our weims in our homes in the states we cover. Please be patient when waiting for us to return your phone calls, and e-mails. All volunteers also work full time jobs and return calls as soon as they can, usually in the evening hours.

 


Hi my name is Pilgrim. I’m a happy go lucky, playful, 5 year old blue male. I have a natural tail and dew claws and my tail only adds to my character and charm! I’m super sweet and just want constant love and attention. I want to be petted non-stop or sit or lay next to you if you will let me and because of this I will hardly ever be out of your site. I will go lay on my dog bed if you tell me to, but I am stubborn and will push so you’ll have to be persistent and consistent to get me to go lay down on my bed instead of next to you. I do have a problem with counter surfing so I have to be banned from the kitchen when my foster mom isn’t home. Outside of that, I am left uncrated when my foster mom is gone and I don’t destroy anything or mark my territory. I love my doggy door and will use it frequently if only to go run outside with my toys and sit outside and chew!! I love to play with toys and go for walks and will get really excited to see you when you come home from being gone at work. My foster mom trained me to get my toys when I see her, but occasionally I forget and will jump but this is becoming less and less frequent with consistent work and training. My foster mom says I am super sweet but super stubborn too so I need consistent training and boundaries. Pilgrim is fostered in Olathe, KS and has a $250 adoption donation.
