Kyle- Guest Dog Program the Dog needs a home
Kyle is an absolutely stunning 4 year old Pitbull mix with a gorgeous blue and white coat. He is really great with people, loving, affectionate and eager to please. He loves toys and to have his family play with him. He's been around older children and did well with them too. He's a sweet, big boy!
Sadly, he wasn't socialized well with other pets when he was a young dog, so he needs to be the only dog in his family. This poor guy was found chained to a pole for what we are assuming was a long time based on his worn down teeth from chewing the thick chain. He was isolated in that setting from all of the things that most dogs get exposed to on a regular basis, so he is learning things a little later in life than most dogs.
He's been working well with a trainer for several months and his trainer recommends that he go into a family with an experienced owner who can continue helping him learn new things that come with living the life of a beloved family pet. His new owner will need to be the leader and have the ability to maintain control in situations that Kyle is uneasy with, such as around other dogs in passing. Kyle is very treat and praise motivated, which helps a great deal with his training.
Kyle is an average energy fella, but does enjoy romping around in his yard and walking with an attentive owner. He enjoys chasing squirrels and birds in the yard, so we feel a cat free home is also best. He is crate trained and walks nicely on his leash with just an occasional pull when excited.
