Adopt a Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat)

Joshua is a sweet adorable little Lab/mix that is very much the puppy, born 7/30/17. He is a small Lab that shouldn’t weigh in any bigger then 25-30 lbs. when fully grown. He is very bright and quickly learned his name, knows “come” and almost always does his “business” outside now with just the occasional slip up. He enjoys playing with the other dogs and they all get along. Joshua loves running around in the yard and has a lot of energy that needs to be burned off and when he’s done he will flop on your lap or the couch and takes his nap. Josh has been socialized with a large pack of dogs of all sizes at his Foster home, varieties, ages and genders. He loves wrestling and mixing it up with the other dogs and people, so he should be in a home where he has plenty of both. He is very smart and learns quickly but he is still very much the puppy and would have to continue being trained to be that perfect little boy that he wants to be. He will be available to be seen on February 17th at PetSmart on Lontree in Antioch from 10 to 3pm. Come in and see this beautiful guy.

If you are considering adopting a dog through HALO Here are some helpful hints:

Bring pictures of your yard to show secure fencing. Most of our dogs require a 6 foot fenced yard. Yards must be cleared of any fox tail weeds. The adoption donation is cash or check.

We will adopt out to Contra Costa County residences only so that we may follow up on the dogs well-being to make sure that they are happy and thriving.

We do adopt small dogs to apartments or condo and need to see pictures of the patio or balcony area. If you rent, please bring copy of your lease to show you can have pets and any size restrictions.

We do not adopt to homes with children under the age of five (5) unless we know the history of the dog with young children. All Children MUST be present at adoption. If you own a dog and are looking for a friend please bring your dog with you so that they can be introduced to make sure that they will get along.
