Popcorn - Lonely Heart the Dog needs a home
Popcorn came to HSSM after being found January 2nd on the side of the road abandoned. If you look at the 3rd photo you can see the condition she was in the day she arrived. After a few days of IV fluids, Popcorn went to stay in Animal Care Manager Casey's office so she could eat small meals and get her strength back.
The first night in Caseys office Popcorn pooped out nothing but whole kernel dried corn, like what is used in deer feeders by hunters. This told us at HSSM that she had been on her own for awhile and was doing all she could to survive.
After 1 1/2 months at HSSM, Popcorn went from 32lbs to 45lbs and has learned how to trust people and has become a gentle girl that loves belly rubs!
