Adopt a Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Are you looking for a cat who will be your absolute best friend? Are you looking for a cat who will worship you like a God? Well than the chances are good that you're looking at him and his name is Thunder (A.K.A.: "Mr Happy Toes"). Thunder was living a life on the run as an unaltered male when he was lucky enough to be caught in a live-trap by a BWAR volunteer. After being tested, vaccinated, neutered, poked, prodded, and generally terrified, Thunder was given to me to foster amidst discussion about his possible release into a feral cat colony. Within 24 hours of his arrival, however, Thunder promoted me to a goddess. He began worshipping the very ground I walked upon. He began acting as though I was the only friend he's ever had on Earth. And then within about 48 hours, Thunder had already pretty much bonded with my shoulders whenever I walked, with my lap whenever I sat, and with my feet whenever a shoulder or lap weren't available.  Unfortunately, Thunder had a stubborn ear infection in one ear, which has since left him with an adorable little head tilt and unable to blink one eye. Yes indeed, Thunder was one lucky boy.

So what, you ask, does it take to be promoted to a God-like status? Well, you just have to follow a few simple rules Thunder has laid down as a consequence of his time spent on the run:

Rule #1: You cannot have any other cats, as Thunder doesn't play well with others. (Although I think he would be fine with well-behaved dogs.) 

Rule # 2: You have a relatively quiet household and no small children, as Thunder's equilibrium is a little off as a result of damage to his inner ear.

Rule #3: You are willing to hold and play with him for hours on end.
