Adopt a Domestic Short Hair (medium coat)

Domestic Short Hair (medium coat) Cat

Merida the Cat needs a home

Merida had been living outside in a neighborhood as a stray for about 2 months. They believe she was dumped there. A lady had been feeding her and found her in the bushes one day. She wouldn't eat or move for 4 days. She finally was taken to the vet where she received wonderful care. She is back to normal and she definitely has her appetite back! She has a tattoo so she must have had a home at one time. She is hesitant to trust, likely due to being abandoned and needs a little patience. She is super sweet and loves to purr when petted.

Merida is an exotic looking, green eyed lady and very easy to care for. She doesn't make a peep unless you are bringing her food to her and then she will meow very loudly in the most unique way. She prefers to stay in one room right now and rotates between four favorite spots. She does like to be picked up and will purr as she lays on your chest. Merida is tolerant of dogs but does not interact with dogs or cats. She has a very low activity level. She'd rather watch than participate.

We think a quiet home would be ideal for Merida, perhaps with an elderly person as she's pretty laid back and is a little older too. We think she is an introvert and would make a perfect companion for the right special person. Other kitties scare her but she likes dogs.
