About Ives:

Ives is a sweet and loving young pup!  He’s very sociable and comfortable around strangers and new environment.  Ives had a tough start in life; he used to be skittish and reserved when we first met him.  It took us a while to gradually bond with him, and then guided him to interact with humans, other dogs and even cats.  Finally, he came out of his shell thru the lead of leash and a sweet and outgoing puppy that befriended him; Ives quickly learned to appreciate the good feelings of cuddling and showing affection with humans.

Now Ives walks on busy streets with confidence; he no longer has problem interacting with strangers, but still prefer not to be petted by strangers.  He is watchful though, will give short barks when strangers visiting our house, but will calm down and greet when he does not feel intimidated.  He enjoys the companion of dogs in his foster home a lot.  His favorite pastime is hanging out with dogs in the park and his daily walks.  He is friendly with children, but will shy away from young kids under 7-y-o.

Ives’ rescue story:

Ives was born to a stray mother dog; they lived by the riverside.  A volunteer was regularly feeding the strays in the area; she also did TNR (trap/neuter/release) for the dogs hoping to cut down the stray population as best as she could.

Thankfully, Ives’s mom was caught and spayed after two years of relentless efforts of the volunteer.  Meanwhile, the 2.5-m-o Ives was taken in by the volunteer and placed with a loving foster home.  Ives has since been trained to socialize and learned good house manners.  Please watch Ives’ videos to learn how much fun this sweet pup can bring to your family as long as he’s given a second chance!
