Nougat the Dog needs a home

Rescue: Nougat was rescued as a stray in Mexico. She was spotted about 10 miles south of Ensenada various times by one of our local rescue partners. Despite multiple attempts to rescue her from the streets, Nougat was always too afraid to accept help. It wasn't until Nougat was finally too weak to walk or even stand from dehydration and starvation that our rescue partner was able to intervene. Given the shape she was in, the initial thought was that she would likely have to be PTS. However, against all odds, Nougat rallied, and responded very quickly to treatment and fully recovered in a temporary foster home. She was nicknamed Mila short for Milagros which means miracle in Spanish
Temperament: Sweet, mellow, submissive, loving, and engaging. Nougat is fantastic with other dogs and she is sweet with people. Though reluctant to walk on a leash initially, she picked up the concept quickly and will respond well to training and consistency. Nougat is a sweetheart!
