Plott Hound / Terrier (short coat) Dog

Callie the Dog needs a home

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Callie found herself in her last hour of life, with seven newborn puppies at her side, in a cold and dark kill shelter. It all seemed over for this very sweet and loving dog. And then we saw her picture and knew what we had to do. From certain death, she was pulled to a foster, who showed her what it was like to have a soft blanket, food in her bowl, and a safe place for herself and her puppies. Sometimes things just work out right. And this was one of those times. We have discovered that Callie is a wonderful dog, who wants to please and be a good girl. Her puppies are big enough to get their own homes and now it's Callie's turn. If you take her into your life, she could very well become the best dog you have ever had.
