Leland the Dog needs a home
Leland is one of our newest arrivals! Leland was found and brought to a veterinarian's office, and this poor boy was extremely thin and looking for anything he could to eat. He is putting on weight slowly, but surely. Leland needs an adopter that will understand he has been missing out on a proper diet for some time, and that he will need some guidance on learning how to slow down when he's eating. Luckily, Leland didn't develop any resource guarding.
When Leland isn't busy trying to bribe you into giving him treats with sweet hugs and puppy eyes, he's a pretty playful boy and enjoys getting some exercise. He will settle down with some chew toys, and it will help to have some around to keep him busy when he doesn't need to be eating. He will need some that can stand up to his strong jaw!
So far, we are seeing that Leland isn't too fond of the other dogs here, but we do know that he was bonded and protective over a female heeler that came in with him.
