Meet JoJo!
JoJo was surrendered by his owner in August with his best friend Jager. The shelter had kept Jo Jo and Jager together in the large meet/greet room off the lobby since they were very bonded with each other and had shared their entire life as a pair. We hoped they would find another home together. Sadly that was not meant to be since Jager was diagnosed with a painful tumor and the decision was made on October 5th to peacefully end his suffering. Jo Jo is very lonely without his best friend and desperately needs a home where he will be loved, pampered, and cherished.
JoJo is such a sweet and gentle soul. He is so affectionate and just loves being with you. He is healthy and has a hefty appetite and loves his treats too! He is super with kids, dogs and cats. JoJo loves attention and scratches, and his foster family is yet to hear him growl or bark. He could stand to lose a few pounds.
He is a senior gentleman so seems to be a bit hard of hearing, but the foster family can easily get his attention by waving a hand or food in front of him.
JoJo is a super sweet senior couch potato who just wants to be near you. He walks and trots along with our resident dogs, though he is slower on stairs. He has some hearing issues, but if he can see you he'll come up to you. He never barks, though he'll occasionally whine when he's being let out of his kennel in the morning, because he's excited to see you (and also his senior bladder needs to go out). He likes dogs and people and is crate trained. He loves head scratches and belly rubs and will take those all day long if you let him. Who wants a napping partner?"
