Adopt a American Shorthair / Mixed
Dottie the Cat needs a home
Dottie is a white and gray bicolor American Shorthair female with a cute little gray dot on her chin, hence her name. She's a typical kitty, very playful, inquisitive, and happy-go-lucky. She gets along well with the other kitties in her foster home, especially her brother Cowboy. She has a very laid-back personality, and loves attention from her humans. At petfairs, she prances along the front of her enclosure to attract the attention of prospective adopters, then cuddles their necks when held, all in a carefully orchestrated plan to find a forever home. Adopting a young adult is a 10-20 year commitment, is beneficial because their personalities are already developed, and will provide many years of love, devotion, entertainment, and companionship. Dottie's ideal human companions are those who crave the fun, energy, joy, and inquisitiveness of a young adult, and will happily include her in their daily activities. She'll do best in a quiet home (no small, active children) with another pet (hopefully her brother Cowboy) and older children to keep her company. With a loving family, she'll be a wonderful and constant companion for many years. Dottie has the cobby-body shape of the American Shorthair, which is compact, rounded, and quite muscular. She loves to jump and run and play, but most of all, she loves to give kisses. Born in May 2012, Dottie is spayed, fully vaccinated (FVRCP and rabies), tested negative for FeLV, dewormed, deflead, and microchipped for identification. She uses her litterbox and scratching post, and must be indoors-only. Please contact Dottie's foster mom at [email protected] or call
