Adopt a Great Pyrenees
Archer 0431 the Dog needs a home
I am a 2 month old Pyrenees and my owner surrendered me to the Dallas Animal Shelter because I have a broken leg
. In order to keep me from being put to sleep, SSR stepped in to rescue me!
More about Archer:
His left back leg is broken and he also has a fractured pelvis. The vet doesn't think the pelvis will require more than crate rest but the leg will require surgery. We are reaching out to 3 different surgeons about orthopaedic options and will choose the best and fastest one we can get him into. Archer is resting comfortably at his foster dad's house for now.
To anyone interested in adoption: We know Archer is a very adorable, fluffy little puppy and we all want to snuggle him. As a Pyrenees though, he will is a working breed (livestock guardian) and will require a suitable home with an adopter who has experience with and understands his specific needs and tendencies. Please keep this in mind if you intend to apply to adopt Archer!
If you are an approved adopter and are interested in Archer, please let your case worker know. If you are not yet an approved adopter but are interested, please complete an adoption application!
