You will never meet a more sweet or gentler dog than Mac! He is an absolute sweetheart who gets along with any person or any animal that he meets!
Mac is a 9-year-old chocolate Labrador Retriever mix. Mac was surrendered to Animalert due to the fact that he has Diabetes and his previous owners were having a hard time caring for him and a young family too.
Mac's diabetes is easily controlled with proper food and regular insulin injections. Mac knows when it is time to get his injections and patiently waits for you to give them to him!
Other than that, Mac is your typical happy go lucky, easy going dog, who loves attention and affection. He loves to play with kids and dogs! Mac is on the smaller size for a lab...weighing about 40lbs, but he has a huge gentle heart!
Mac has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm tested. He also has been given Flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
We will be looking for a home that will continue to give Mac the support he needs to keep his Diabetes under control so that he can continue to live a happy healthy life!
His adoption fee will be waived, as we know that he will need medical care for the rest of his life. We will be looking for that very special home for Mac!
