King the Dog needs a home
Meet this sweet boy, King. He is a 65 lb, Pit/Lab mix, approximately 10-12 months old. King is full of energy and is affectionate. He rarely barks, but when he does, it's for a good reason and it is loud. King will need a home where he'll get lots of exercise, as he is very active. Walks are challenging because he's quite strong and gets excited when he sees other animals so he will need some training as any young pup does. He loves playing fetch, squeaky toys, tug of war, and rope toys. A fully fenced yard would be best for King to run around in. He does know some basic commands - sit, wait, stay, and come. He is very excitable and will jump up on you, especially when meeting new people, but he's slowly learning "off." His adopter should enroll him in training classes for basic obedience. He was very "mouthy" when first taken in, but has gotten much better. He loves doggy massages and being petted. He loves to cuddle next to his humans (sometimes he'll lay on you, as if he just can't get close enough). He is very food motivated, likely due to his past of not being fed regularly. It is not recommended that King go to a home with young children. Crate training should be continued with him, as he is not trained well enough to be left alone in the house yet. King was recently neutered and brought up to date on shots/vaccinations. He needs someone who is patient and will spend quality time with him. He has great potential to be the perfect pet. Anyone lucky enough to adopt him will fall madly in love and always have a loyal and loving companion in him. King’s adoption fee is $290.
