Howie the Dog needs a home






Howie is a handsome 3 yr old black lab/hound mix who came to Last Hope as an owner surrender. Howie is kennel and housetrained and gets along well with his foster canine siblings.   He chases the cats in the home so it would probably be best that Howie goes to a home with no cats.  Howie does exhibit some anxiety with louder noises (washing machine/dishwasher) and thunderstorms. He likes wearing his thunder shirt and sits nicely for you to put it on and seems much more relaxed once he has his thunder shirt on!  Howie is a young lab with lots of energy and will need a home that is willing to get him the exercise he needs and work with him on his leash manners.  Howie is looking for a home with a structural fence rather than an electric fence. Thanks  Because of his size, we recommend a home with children over 8.  Howie is a really great dog just waiting to meet his forever family!





Last Hope's adoption process includes reference checks, vet history checks, landlord checks (if applicable) and a home visit. Our dogs are to be kept as indoor dogs only and on year-round heart worm preventative.
