Samwise the Dog needs a home
Samwise is a special, beautiful soul. This sweet boy is shy at first, and needs to know he can trust you before he will show you how amazing he can be. He spent his 2 years of life chained outside and has the physical and emotional scars that leaves on a dog. The first few days in his foster home he only wagged his tail occasionally, was scared of hallways and narrow spaces, tolerated affection, and just seemed overall scared. Now, he is a happy boy, with his tail almost always wagging, and a love of life and even runs down hallways. He wants his dog friends to respect his boundaries, and needs to learn how exactly to be a dog but he is getting better every day. He goes on walks now, without saying away from everything, he let's strangers pet him, and he let's the rest of the dogs in the house play and run around him. He hasn't gotten the hang of playing with them yet, but with proper socialization, training, and building his confidence he will! He prefers children who also know when to leave him alone, but he does love them if they are gentle and know to move slowly with him. He's such a good dog, and with patience and love he will thrive with his new family.
