Adopt a German Shepherd Dog (medium coat)
Kona 0176 the Dog needs a home
Kona is a sweet petite German Shepherd. She needs time to warm up to you, and the perfect adopter would provide the patience and training needed to help Kona come out of her shell. A home where someone is around most of the time would be ideal and help Kona with socialization.
Kona enjoys walks, car rides, ball playing inside and outside, and she adores running around in the fenced yard. She loves playing with her toys that dispense treats. She likes to sleep on the bed with her foster, and she will lounge in a chair or sofa if allowed.
Kona is potty trained and will alert you by pawing your leg or pawing at the door. She walks well on a leash, and she will sit and shake. While she won’t jump into the bathtub, Kona is calm, and lets you give her a bath. The current foster does not crate Kona. However, she did use a crate previously, but Kona proved to be so trustworthy, it was not needed.
Due to Kona’s sensitive nature, she is best suited for a home with a calm atmosphere. Kona prefers to be the only dog, and she can be territorial around other dogs. She has shown too much interest in cats to live with them. Also, a home without young children would be best. It isn’t that Kona doesn’t like children, but their quick nature tends to startle her sometimes. Kona needs training, a stable calm environment, and patience to help her be the best dog she can be.
