Description:

It was Hogan’s lucky day when a family found him on the side of the road. Although he was well fed (a little too well fed!) he was struggling with a cyst, a UTI, a matted coat, raw skin from flea bites, and an ear infection. What Hogan didn’t know that day is that things were going to rapidly change for the better. A hair cut, medication, and surgery to removed the cyst has put a new spring in his step.

He is a handsome boy even with his coat shaved but we think he will be stunning once his fur grows back in. He is on a diet and, just like people, is not always satisfied with his dog food meals so he gets green beans when he thinks he should have more food. He wasn’t thrilled at first, but has decided green beans are better than an empty dish.

Hogan gets along with other dogs. He is only crated when his foster has to go away.  He is housebroken and understands the command “sit.”  Hogan would do best in a home with few steps.

He also enjoys people and absolutely loves to be petted. When you are petting him (or he thinks you should be petting him) he looks at you with adoring eyes, just begging you to rub his head and ears.

And his tail, his tail lets his foster know just how happy he is to be off the street and taken care of.

He needs some extra tender loving care to help him through his recovery from his surgery and the other challenges he’s had, but he will reward you with his gratefulness and his joy because he’s “home.”
