Archer has learned many things since in Foster he became a awesome dog

Still some puppy in him at times and full of fun and life but with a good leader a well behaved dog.

He knows many commands in hand signal too and responds to a whistle

Archer will test you often to ensure you are truly an alpha leader and not a push over he will respect your calm mental strength

Archer lives with many other larger dogs off each gender but most are older or disabled dogs so not in a position to play with a young large dog

He has never ever shown any aggression towards them and does play with a 70 pound 3 legged female staffie that can hold her own, she's the boss over him, he does play well with her and can be gentle even lays down at times to make it easier on her

He also plays with a short 80 pound male dog in his foster home

Play is controlled with him on the leash only at this time as we do not rush things but go the speed the dog chooses

We do not want him with another dog because he has never learned how to properly greet a strange dog so he's very over excited and to most folks that are not experienced may look aggressive which he's not

If it is of most importance that you have a dog that meets other dogs like a lab then you will need to stick lots of time into training him along with a experienced trainer

otherwise another dog may suit you better

We prefer someone that hikes on their own very large fenced acerage instead of community trails

Archer is super when one on one without distractions

He will obey commands etc as long as he's on the leash 

still in process of learning to do all that off leash and for praise versus treats and he's getting there

He does come to the word here and always gets a treat sometimes he thinks he can play the catch me game which we just walk away and get him in a few minutes

We will have tons of info for the approved applicant and will be here to help settle our dogs in with the least amount of stress for both dog and Adopter

This is not a dog to rough house with or be hyper or play too if way with

he needs a calm but active person that is truly looking for a close companion and not just a dog

Someone who's mentally as sharp as Archer

We are strict for him to follow rules commands and a good time

He's not the kind of dog you let get away with anything as he will remember and take it a step further next time

He does not admit it but he does respect a true leader

Calm and quiet a must

Words are not needed much body language along with energy shows the true leader

Archer loves water so if you don't have a pond you must have a few baby pools he can Wade in and enjoy he also loves to drink a lot and will use the baby pools

Archer loves to be loved on but is not a needy cuddler nor needs a hugger

Loves his belly scratched and told he's a good boy when he is

He's not for high pitched hyper voices nor baby talk

He does not need to be smothered with love but equal respect and companion ship

Archer was a begger that became King

We taught him to become a dog still working on it and his new person will want to continue

Archer is a great dog and not you're average dog

He has will power easily controlled by your gentle but stem leader ship

Not a dog for the weak minded we are looking for a similar person and environment he's in right now but with lots more time then Foster has to give

Someone who will work their own life around their dog to ensure everyone is happy

Someone that's not a wanna be but knows what a real bond with a dog means starting with a life time commitment
