Adopt a Shepherd / Mixed

A SWEET & GENTLE SOUL:  10 years old / 43 lbs.  Mostly Mutts adoption facility is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm.  Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week.  I’m Marshall, a total sweet guy who may be older, but still has lots of love to give and smiles to share.  I’m calm and easy-going, friendly and happy. My needs are simple: good food, a comfy place to sleep/nap, a few treats, a window to look out of and a fenced-in yard.  But most of all, I need a loving home where I can enjoy my “retirement” in peace.  The volunteers say that I’m a perfect gentleman on my leash when we go for walks.  I’m slow and easy, and I just enjoy a leisurely stroll. I like to ride in the car, but please make sure I have a secure seating, so I don’t slide all over the backseat.  I was a hit with the photographer who took my pictures, she said that I was cooperative and easy to photograph.  I can see myself lounging around our home and just taking it easy.  I love attention and being petted and I’ll come when you call me. I met a nice kitty at MM and I was a good boy. So, if you have a kitty in your home, let’s meet to see if we can be friends. I made friends with my foster mom’s neighbor’s dog, and we had a nice time playing in the backyard.  But, I’m a senior fellow, so a calm/gentle dog companion would be best. I ‘ve just had my teeth cleaned, and now I have nice fresh smile. I also had a little tumor removed above my eye, but I’m almost healed and I’m feeling great! My potty manners have been good on the shelter schedule and I’m behaved in my little room. I have a bit of hearing loss, so be careful not to startle me when I’m sleeping or when you get home.  I’ll be a great match for a family that is relaxed and just likes to calmly enjoy life with their dog.  Energy level:  2 -4.  I’d do best with gentle kids too, and best no toddlers who may fall on me.  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, neutered and my adoption fee is $275.00.
