Adopt a Beagle / Mixed
Everything Bagel the Dog needs a home
Hello, my name is Everything Bagel-- yes, like the food! However, my new foster family just calls me Bagel. I am a beagle, and I am about 3 years old. I arrived at my new fosters' house excited but nervous; I love my new foster brothers, and my new foster family seems great too. I now have a crate where I hang out when my family can't be there with me, and it is cozy but I don't love being there without my new dog friends or people, so I would bark a little bit! I go outside to do my business, but everything is exciting to me so I just keep barking. My new foster family isn't the biggest fan on that, so I will just have to learn to only bark at the important stuff. My foster family gave me a bath because apparently I stunk, but they just don't understand the importance of my scent: "the stinkier the better," I always say! The bath made my skin feel a lot better, though, and my humans say I will look even better after a couple more baths. I am excited to be out of the shelter, and I am excited to see where life takes me. I have so much to offer and I can't wait to have a family of my own.
When I went to the doctor, they told me I am something called "heartworm positive." My old family did not give me the preventative medicine I needed to avoid getting heartworms, but my foster family is taking care of me! Fortunately, I can still go to my forever home while the folks at Hope Animal Rescue help me! I am eligible for their "foster-to-adopt" program, where I can be "fostered" by my future family until I finish treatment at the doctor and officially become adopted.
