From the Foster:
Rabbit was saved from local animal control after being picked up off the streets with her sister Squirrel. Her rough start to life has made her a little untrusting of humans, but she’s learning every day that not all of us are scary! She loves to be close to her people, and sleeps on my bed and follows me around, often rubbing up against my legs. Being petted still isn’t her favorite thing in the world, and her new people will need to be patient with her while she continues to build up her trust and confidence in them. Rabbit is a funny little entertainer, who can often be found lounging in odd places (like the shower) and playing with odd things (like the bathroom door). She adores other cats and would be happiest in a home with at least one other feline playmate. She is fine with dogs who do not chase her. Rabbit is a stunning little cat, and photos do not do her justice. She has fur like cashmere and looks like a tiny jungle cat. Being young, and not having had the proper instruction as a kitten, she does sometimes scratch or chew on inappropriate things. She also thinks she’s a daring rock climber! She can be easily redirected to toys and scratch posts, but probably isn’t meant to live in a house full of priceless antique furniture. Rabbit may require a little more patience and effort than some other (totally boring) cats, but I promise you that she is worth it!!!
