Hi, my name is Foxy. I am a good looking, lovable, energetic, playful, healthy, adult Treeing Walker Coonhound. I was rescued by my owner when I was 1 year old, and now I am 9 years, going on 5. I am spayed and up to date on all of my shots. I love staying at the kennel when my parents go out of town, I’m house trained, and I love to play. I need to find a new home because there is now a toddler in our house, and I am not crazy about little kids.
I currently live on 5 acres in Black Mountain with three other dogs and two miniature goats. I get along well with all of them and most dogs that I meet, but when my status as alpha is challenged I am not afraid to establish my role as queen. Also, I am not a fan of cats - they are fun to chase.
Running free through the woods, chasing rabbits, raccoons and possums is my favorite activity, but I also enjoy lounging for extended periods of time. I will run through an invisible fence, so I would need a hardscape fence to keep me contained, or I would do well in a house with daily leash walks. My family loves me very much and has basically had to decide between me and the baby. I have lots of love to give and would make a great addition to a household with kids who are old enough to understand how to give me my own space.
