Skye the Dog needs a home

*** COURTESY LISTING *** PLEASE CALL OR E-MAIL THE PERSON LISTED. DO NOT CONTACT WARF AS WE HAVE NO FURTHER INFO.

Skye needs a home. She is a Cattledog/American Bulldog mix, about 2 years old, around 65 pounds, spayed, all vaccines, microchipped.

She likes people! Whenever I walk her, she always gets compliments & smiles from everyone we pass, probably because her coloring is a little unusual, she seems to be smiling and she LOVES to take a ball on her walk!

She doesn't like the kennel -- she whines loudly & sometimes thrashes against the side. This girl needs a home! Once we're on our walk she does really well. Today I took her out in the field & she was happy in the sun & leaned against me and was peaceful.

She is selective about her dog company. Recently we walked by several people with dogs & she just bopped on by. Last week she was somewhat hyper towards dogs she meets at our facility. The positive change comes about, I think, from being out of the kennel & having walks. She has been cooped up for a long time.

She does well on her leash, once you get the harness on. When I try to put it on, she rolls over on her back, which is kind of funny in a ha-ha way.

I don't know why she sometimes gets aggressive with other dogs -- again, I think it's the kennel. When I opened her door this morning she ran out of the kennel-room & was perfectly fine, just excited to be outside. She does okay in the "yard," too. She's really likable & has a kind of sweetness about her, & again, she has that unusual coloring, which makes people notice her. She definitely has a "personality." Except for needing caution when first meeting other dogs, I think she's a good family dog, okay with older kids, as long as she has a channel for her positive energy: exercise and attention!
