Adopt a Domestic Short Hair
Lillie the Cat needs a home
Lillie was found last winter abandoned in a bush. A few days later another cat we believe was her sibling was found in same area. She has the most beautiful green eyes and the sweetest personality. She adores attention and will come when she is called to rub all over your legs. New people are a special treat to her because that means that she gets extra pets! She and her sibling both tested positive for FIV antibody. Cats with FIV or Feline Aids can live a long full life. It is Not contagious and Cannot be transferred to dogs or humans. FIV positive cats that live indoors in a stress-free home- need annual vet visits like all other cats, and can live many years without even reaching a chronic stage. For additional information on FIV the following websites are very informative: http://www.catster.com/lifestyle/cat-health-vet-study-fiv-positive-cats-living-together and http://www.fivcatrescue.org/fiv-myths.html . You can view some of our adoptable cats and kittens at the Commerce Petsmart on the west side of Haggerty just north of 14 Mile Rd. during store hours.
