This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.
Amazing Spirit!
This beautiful little girl shows us just how sweet and forgiving a dog can be. She was found in a ditch, emaciated and dehydrated. We don't know how she got there or why she was there, and we're sure she doesn't either. But this resilient, loving, little snuggle-bug hasn't lost her spirit and so it's the perfect name for her. She appears to be a Terrier mix about 5 months old. She's house trained, crate trained and walks on a leash. She's VERY playful and does well with other dogs and kids, and LOVES toys. She's interested in kitty cats and playful with them. Spirit loves new experiences and new situations, and being smart as well as eager to please, attending obedience class should be lots of fun. It's a great way to continue her socialization with new dogs and new people, learn lots of cool stuff, and get in some quality bonding time with her forever humans. A fenced yard is the ideal, safe place for a puppy to play fetch and "catch me if you can," but if it's not an option then lots of daily leash walks and opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park or doggie daycare will take care of her exercise needs. She'll also benefit from mental exercise - think puzzle toys and games. She rides happily crated in the car knowing there's bound to be an adventure just around the corner. When all playing is done, make room on your lap for Spirit's sleepy little head.
Spirit has come a long way in a short time and would love nothing better than to be your forever girl. She's looking for a home with humans who have the time, energy and patience to teach her everything she needs to know to be a super, canine citizen - oh, toys to play with and soft laps to nap on would be greatly appreciated, too. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence.
