Blitzen the Dog needs a home
Tyler, Texas Blitzen, whom we named him, because he didn’t have one. He was running around lake Palestine for a few months. Nobody could catch him, and he was skinny. He was dumped in Shady Brook subdivision, by the lake. I say dumped, because almost everyday he showed up to the same spot, and would just sit. He was waiting for his owners to come back. I’m glad they didn’t come back though. He wasn’t given the best of life. He ate what he could to survive and would stay warm under cars, in buckets, or anything he could get inside of. I went out there 5 weeks ago, to catch him. (Which I did) Tuna and spam does wonders! No aggression, just was cold and hungry. He was taken to a vet, and checked out. The vet thinks he’s between 3-5 years old. He doesn’t have the four front upper and lower teeth. She thinks he has been chewing on fencing or even a chain. So I’m sure that’s where the abuse started. His left ear is from an at home ear cropping. On the left side of his head, between his ear and his eye, is an indention. Not sure what happened there. But it does tell a story. He is heartworm positive, and has been started on the slow kill method. This meothod consists of doxycycline for 30 days then heart guard monthly. Blitzen will be on his second dose of heart guard this week. He is up to date on vaccines as well. . Blitzen is not neutered yet, but he is very sweet and loves his people. He is great inside the house, no chewing or barking. He is good with cats, and kids who stay out of his face. He is good with dogs, of all
sizes. He is fed 1 cup and three times a day. He is crate trained, and walks good on a leash. All records will go with him, and any medications that he may have. If you have any questions, feel free to message the page! For more information, please email us at
