Taki?s Story: Tokyo was surrendered to JCCARE by a home that had several smaller dogs which left Tokyo with an environment that was not mellow enough for his enjoyment as he prefers space to rest and relax with hopes there will also be time for some one-on-one attention from his human family. Health: Tokyo is up to date on all vaccinations and is neutered. As a senior, he does have some medical issues such as the beginning of cataracts. So far they don?t seem to affect him, and will not require any treatment; just maybe some extra lights at night. He is on a daily dose of medication to help with the aches and pains of getting older. He is also prone to chronic ear infections. His foster momma was able to kick the last infection and has him on a weekly regimen to keep these away. Temperament: Looking for the sweetest senior in the universe? Look no more! Tokyo loves his humans and when you lay down with him he showers you with lots of gentle kisses. The most docile chin you will ever meet, he doesn?t have a mean bone in his body! My Ideal Home: Even though he will be 13 on September 9th don?t let Tokyo?s age fool you. While he does enjoy just chilling as any old dog, he also loves to play with toys and other furry friends. He leads the play time at his foster momma?s house. Tokyo is a sturdy chin at a whopping 19 pounds, but is not overweight. He is a great eater and loves his bones! His foster momma says he will be most happy with another playful furry to play with?..and someone that is willing to continue his pain and ear regimen.
