CHOMPER the Dog needs a home
Chomper is truly a special dog! He absolutely loves to go for car rides and truck rides, and he's sweet and affectionate. He's a medium-sized mixed-breed dog, about 4 years old, and everyone here at the shelter just loves him. Chomper got his name because of the adorable sound he makes when he closes his mouth -- it's really more like a "clomp," and it's just part of his amazing personality. He's friendly and very affectionate, housetrained and crate trained. If you have a dog, please bring your pet over for a meet-and-greet! He walks very nicely on his leash, and just needs someone who can handle a strong dog. He'd probably do best in a home without small children, and where someone can be with him much of the time -- he loves you and wants to be with you. He's very smart, knows how to sit and accepts his treats very gently. Sometimes great dogs, especially black dogs, get overlooked at shelters, and sweet Chomper has been with us for more than a year. It's time he found his forever home! Right now his adoption fee is only $20, and he's already neutered, heartworm-free, up to date on his shots, microchipped and ready to go home with you. We love Chomper and we think you will too -- please watch his video, and let's find him his forever home!
The adoption fee helps in covering the medical treatment that has been completed. This includes the cost of the spay or neuter, testing for HW, HW preventative, rabies vaccination, wormings, annual vaccination, and flea and tick treatments. If you are interested in adopting this pet, first visit our home page, www.nassauhumanesociety.com to complete the adoption application, view hours of operation, see other pets available or just to get directions to the shelter. You can email or fax the application to the shelter. If you have other questions you can call the shelter at 904-321-1647 or email us at [email protected]. We cannot hold a pet for adoption; therefore if you plan on traveling to the shelter please call before you leave to assure the pet you are traveling to see will be there. Some of our pets are in a foster care home with a volunteer and if you wish to meet those pets an appointment will need to be made. Thank you for considering one of our shelter pets for adoption.
