Hi! My name is Binkey but my foster momma calls me Binkey-Boo. If you are looking for a someone to chill out with, then your search is over!
I am a very sweet boy with a smooth black, almost brown coat. My foster moms says in the light, I look more brown than black. I just love to sit with my humans in the recliner or couch; but when I have had enough, I go sit on the back of the couch or recliner. I will lick my human’s face a couple times, but I know that a few kisses are enough!
I like to play with my furbrothers and like to cuddle with my foster mom after she gets home from work. I will also rub my head against her face ... you know, like a cat ...and I sit like a cat, too! I can be vocal to someone coming into the room when I am with my foster mom, but I settle down quickly. I seem to prefer ladies over men, but will sit quietly with both. I will sleep in the big bed with my humans all throughout the night without any problems, but I am vocal when my foster pop-pop comes into the bedroom and my foster mom is already in bed. I am good at not going potty inside the house, during the night.
My foster mom says that I am pretty much housebroken and that keeping me on a schedule helps...but accidents do happen from time to time. I am also crate trained, even though the crate is definitely not my favorite place. I do best if I am taken outside as soon as I wake up in the morning, after eating and occasionally throughout the day and before going to bed for the night. Mom doesn’t feed me after the dinner hour so I do not have any accidents during the night.
I walk well on the leash and am fine with other dogs and kids that are respectful. I am becoming less picky about my treats and like my space when I'm given a treat to enjoy. Otherwise, I am not bossy and just want to be by your side. I was a dominant male, but my fur-brother Baxter let me understand that he's in charge of the family! I've recently started really playing with my foster siblings. I like them! They're fun. I will gnaw on bones and LOVE to play with squeaky toys but I am not destructive to furniture. I would be great with a senior citizen and I am so easy to fall in love with that I would definitely make someone a great companion!
I came into Little Paws rescue as owner surrender. I am 7 years old, 13 pounds of love, neutered and microchipped. I am healthy, heartworm negative, UTD on all of my shots.
