Salted Caramel the Dog needs a home

Salty is very shy but very smart. He was one of over 100 dogs that are being removed from an outdoor situation. Even so, he has shown no signs of aggression or guarding  around other people, dogs, or food. He does LOVE his crate but but also loves to share his crate with anyone who wants to come in and snuggle. He also walks incredibly well on a leash and stays right by his fosters side. He has been left around 6 hours alone so far and has done great and sleeps through the night with no problem! He gets along great with other dogs so far, big and small, but has really taken to larger / friendly dogs. 

The perfect home for Salty is a family with a gentle and loving hand. He has so much love to give but still airs on the shy side. I have not seen him with children, but I think he will do great with older kids, and possibly younger kids too.
