*** PAIZLEY IS PENDING ADOPTION! WE ARE NO LONGER TAKING APPLICATIONS FOR HER! ***
*** MUST LOVE KISSES AND HAVE EXTRA PILLOWS! ***
My name is Paizley and I'm a 9YO girlie looking for a place to call my own. I'm not telling my entire story, but to look at me when Almost Home rescued me said a lot. I came in with another bulldog and both of us were tick infested. We spent hours at the vet trying to remove as many as possible. Enough about my past......let's talk about my future!
My new home MUST have toys for me to carry around and floor pillows for me to nest on. I'm an easy-going bulldog and compared to my bulldog cousins, very very low maintenance.
I'm fine with cats and great with other dogs. I do request a home that won't challenge me for my toys. My humans can take them away, but I will grumble at other dogs that want to take my babies away from me.
I can be crated or free roam in the house.....I'm often found in my crate, with my babies, with the door open. So a crate with an open door would be awesome!
Structurally, I'm a hot mess. My shoulders are build like a line backer and although odd to look at sometimes, they don't bother me - I hope they don't bother you. I'm very mellow and do not require a high energy family. I daily trip down to the mailbox and back is fine with me! It looks like I've had quite a few litters and I've got the boobies to prove it! I may never bounce back so please no body shaming! On the positive side, I can go to the bathroom without assistance - you will not need to wipe my tooshie when I'm done!
Speaking of assistance.....my tail will need help with cleaning. It's not horrible, compared to other bullies, but there are places that do not see the light of day, so I will need some wet wipe help. My foster mom can show you, it's no big deal. If you can floss your teeth, you can keep my tail clean!
I do love to give kisses. I don't have a sloppy mouth, I'm a lady for goodness sake! Although I had a few accidents in my foster home when I arrived....I was on steroids and wasn't house trained, so I've improved greatly on this task! The key is when I go outside, to make sure I do my business. I tend to get distracted with chasing butterflies and if you forget to watch me, I will forget too!
Older kiddos are okay with me. Because I'm a bit creaky, I'd rather not have little ones crawling on me or trying to steal my babies.....all babies are mine.
I'll be ready to go by Christmas. My blood-work came back great except my Valley Fever titre was 1:2. This titre is common with a lot of Arizona dogs. It can mean that I've been exposed and I will always carry a residual titre. But Almost Home wants to be cautious and will retest in December to make sure the titre doesn't change. IF for some reason it goes up, I will need daily VF medication. So if you pre-apply for me, please keep this in mind.
So...that's the goods and bads about me - did I scare you away? If you are still reading this, I'm hoping that you will put in an adoption questionnaire and ask for me - my name is Paizley!
