Adopt a Beagle (short coat)
Lucy Loo the Dog needs a home
Meet Lucy Loo!
Lucy Loo is a sweet and friendly little beagle girl who was brought to a shelter and adopted shortly after, but turns out the son in the family was very allergic to dogs. She is now looking for another home to call her own.
Lucy Loo is a super sweet girl who is getting comfortable in her foster home. She is a little nervous and skittish around new people, but she is warming up to her foster family and resident dog very nicely. Lucy does quite well when alone and free in the house with the other dog as long as she has something to chew on and a cozy place to curl up. Walking on a leash seems to be a new skill for her but she is showing great interest, and she knows not to pull on the leash too hard. Lucy also likes to run around in a fenced in yard and enjoys putting her nose to the ground to smell all of the good smells and comes back inside the house when whistled to.
She is fully potty trained and is learning to sit and wait to be fed. She is starting to turn belly up for belly rubs and loves to lie on the floor near the window to bask in the sun. She sleeps in a dog bed on the floor near her people, although if she had her way she'd snuggle up in the bed with them.
Lucy Loo warms up to women and children faster than men, but she is learning that her foster dad is loving too and is now approaching him looking for attention and reassurance. She is very affectionate once she warms up to you and will make a sweet and lovable companion for anyone who gives her a little time and patience.
