Adopt a Poodle (Miniature) / Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie / Mixed

Scooter is a 6 year old Yorkipoo that is full of life and energy so get ready!  If you want a leisurely stroll down the sidewalk then Scooter is not your guy.   He weighs 10lbs and loves to run around the yard but will calm down and chill on the couch with you once he gets his 5K run done.  Be prepared, if you sit down because he wants in your lap.  He also loves to sleep beside you at night.  He does well with other dogs and cats and we have found that this little guy is smart as a whip and able to make an escape if you have a vulnerable place in your fenced yard.  So be very sure that all the hole are covered and secured.  If left outside (in a fenced in yard) he will look for a way out…again the sign of a smart dog!.   Scooter is working on his housetraining and coming along. He was an owner surrender to the shelter so we don’t know his history or why he was surrendered.  We are finding that people cannot be bothered these days and sometimes when a family member becomes ill the family does not want to take care of the dog left behind. This is why it is important to have a Pet Will set up if something happens to a you as  pet owner mom or dad.  There are no kids in his foster home so we aren’t sure about  Scooter with children..   This happy guy would be perfect for beach walks, fun outdoor events, fast walking jaunts and playdates with active dogs owned by friends.  Everyone knows when Scooter is around because his happy energy is very infectious.  No couch potatoes need apply for this boy!  Sign up for the Happy Scooter Smile!
