Smokey the Dog needs a home

Smokey is a very special and loving boy. He is a Newfoundland mix who has spent most of his life outside before coming to SAAP. As you can see he has no tail; it was amputated due to infection. But this doesn't stop him from wagging his nub when he is happy, which is 99% of the time. Smokey is 100% a ladies man when it comes to the same species. He could learn to live with and even like another male dog, if you are able and willing to work with him. He does fantastic in his crate and will often go relax in it without being told. He is fully house trained! He does good on walks and enjoys to stretch his long legs out. Smokey is a smart boy who is kid and cat approved. If you are looking for a snuggle buddy who will stay by your side and enjoy life with you then Smokey is your man. He is oh so sweet and gentle and is looking for a loving human to show him what it means to be a SAAP dog.


All SAAP animals are vet checked, UTD on vaccines, spayed/neutered, micro chipped, and given flea and heartworm preventative as age appropriate.
