Carl the Dog needs a home
Carl is one of 6 beagle that came into our care after they were surrendered to the local shelter. Not unlike most beagles not kept as pets, Carl is soaking up his new life as an indoor pet that is treated as part of the family. He gets along with his foster parent's dogs and loves to snuggle. This petite boy has not see the best life, but he is ready for a new one. Carl is approximately 3 yrs old and weighs in at 9 lbs, but arrived underweight and should probably weigh closer to 12 lbs at a healthy weight.
Sweet Carl unfortunately did not receive the proper vet care that he deserved in his prior environment, and has tested heartworm positive. Heartworm treatment is included in the adoption at no extra cost to the adopter, and an approved adopter local to New Orleans, may take Carl during treatment to be done at one of our vets, if they wish.
Carl is current on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. Current on heartworm preventative and flea preventative.

Our adoptions include a foster period of 4-6 weeks so that you can be sure that this pet is a good fit without any pressure, and we are available to answer any behavior or training questions during that time (and beyond, if you wish).
