Stacey, An Amazing Rescue Story the Cat needs a home
A message came to Brooklyn Animal Action last week from a concerned woman in Crown Heights. In it, she asked for someone to come save a young cat who appeared injured or sick, which she had seen in her neighborhood. Immediately, a BAA rescuer rushed to the area and the address mentioned in the request for assistance. But the cat was nowhere to be found!
Refusing to give up, the BAA rescuer, along with two local residents, began an intensive search of the neighborhood—and, fortunately, they found the poor kitty they were seeking in a backyard. She was emaciated and lethargic, and in desperate need of aid.
Immediately, this little girl—now called Stacey—was rushed to our vet, who soon discovered she was severely dehydrated and undernourished, but otherwise healthy. The woman who first wrote to BAA about her offered to foster her, and so, on that same day, the cat whose life she saved went to live with her in order to eat, drink, and finally be safe.
Now, Stacey is looking for a long term foster…or, even better, a permanent home! She is healthy, beautiful, and gets along swimmingly with both people and her fellow felines. And, above all, she deserves the happiest of endings!
Stacey is spayed, FeLV/FIV negative, and up to date on vaccines. If you’d like to meet this amazing rescue, contact Gregory at [email protected]!
