Heff Lonestar the Dog needs a home
Meet Heff, a 2 year old Rottweiler/Lab Mix that gets along with other dogs, cats, and adults!! Here is Heff's story:
Way in the middle of nowhere is a tiny East Texas town that consists of a 4-way stop, several abandoned buildings, a post office, and a gas station. This guy lived off of "donations" that patrons of the gas station fed him for a large part of his life. No one cared to rescue him until one lady happened to see teenage boys abusing him in the parking lot one night. She put him in her car, and she contacted a mutual friend. This boy is a love bug! He's got a great, balanced temperament. He gets along well with all people and other dogs. I've also been told that he is good with cats, as there were several living at the gas station and at the vet's office where he was neutered. He got to hang out behind the counter for a few days with the vet staff because they loved him so much.
Heff has arrived in NJ and is in a wonderful foster home with several other dogs - he'd be great in a home with other dogs or being the old dog. He's a sweet, laid back couch potato who loves food!
