Adopt a German Shepherd Dog (medium coat)

German Shepherd Dog (medium coat) Dog

Minnie the Dog needs a home

Please contact Adoption ([email protected]) for more information about this pet.

There was a great song made popular many years ago with the lyrics, "I can see clearly now, the rain is gone, I can see all obstacles in my way". This is Minnie's favorite song today! Minnie had her cataract surgery one week ago and yesterday she had her first follow up visit. We are very happy to tell you that she is recovering from her surgery as we had hoped and expected. The stitches in her eyes have been removed and she definitely is seeing again. She'll have to use the cone for two more weeks but then our diabetic girl will be ready to attend adoption events and look for her forever home. Many thanks to everyone who donated to her medical fund. Your help and support of Rescue made Minnie's surgery possible. We think we can hear her singing more lyrics, "Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind, It's gonna be a bright, bright sun shiny day!" (Lyrics by Johnny Nash)

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $400. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.

Our adoption process begins with completing an application on-line. A phone screening will soon follow, and lastly a home visit will be conducted by our volunteers.
