Adopt a Pointer / Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed

Mila is great with other dogs and loves people!  

Mila is a sweet diamond in the rough!  She is a very energetic young gal and at her age she still has a lot of puppy tendencies.

Her foster parents are working on teaching her "no", "lay down", "down" and "sit" commands to start with.  

Like any young dog she "enjoys" chewing; so she is learning to redirect to which toys are hers verses which belong to the kids of the home. 

Her foster family hasn't gone on any leashed walks with her due to the bitter cold so she will likely need work learning to walk nicely on leash one it warms up outside.  However, she does well with the resident small kids leading her around on the leash in the house with a harness. 

Mila gets along great with the resident female large dog at her foster home.  

Currently she stays confined to a bedroom when her foster family is gone and at night and is not kenneled. She is housetrained for the most part now after her initial adjustment. However, she will have the occassional potty accident when home alone, but she will use a puppy pad if you leave one down for her.  This has improved greatly in just the short week she's been in her new foster home so adjusting to a permanent home shoud go well. 

She really enjoys playing outside and rolling in the fresh snow so the MN cold doesn't bother her too much. 

The 7 kids in her foster home range from age 12 - 1 year old and she is super sweet with all of them, but will occasionally accidentally nip fingers while trying to play.  Her foster mom is working on correcting this.

The only time her foster family has heard her bark/howl is when they leave her in the bedroom alone when they're leaving the house. 

Mila is an amazing soul and with training will make an ideal match for an energetic family.  Do you think you could open your heart to her and give her that forever home she deserves?
