Special adoption considerations: Bella has tested positive for heartworms and will need to be treated. She will also need to be kept calm during her recovery.

Hi, my name is Bella and I'm a 14 lb., female, Pug beagle mix looking for my very own furever home. I'm not sure how I ended up in this scary shelter, but I'm ready to make the trip to DC to start looking for a special person or family of my own. The people at the shelter are really nice, but I dream of having a home that will love me forever and ever. I hear that at furever homes you sometimes get yummy treats, warm beds, and some cool new toys. I hear you get to go to the dog park and on nice long walks. I love playing with other dogs, but I also like curling up to watch a movie or take a nap. I think I'd be great at obedience school. I may be funny, but I'm definitely smart!

Like most shelter dogs, Bella may need a refresher on house training. She is likely crate trained.
