Nene the Cat needs a home
Shy, sweet, lovable As fun and interesting as it might be to have a Nene (the official state bird of Hawaii, pronounced "nay-nay") as a pet, we're sure you'd be a lot happier (and more environmentally conscious) with our little namesake. Our Nene has a beautiful black and white coat, a distinctive black splash of a nose and long white hairs sprouting randomly from her black markings. The largest of three siblings, Nene was under the weather for while, and as a result she's still quite shy and less active than she might normally be. She's been contenting herself mostly with snuggling down in her favorite spot and watching the other household cats play. From the security of her bed she started batting at a fleece string toy and soft fuzzy balls tossed her way. And lately, Nene's even begun to venture tentatively from her spot to explore and interact with her feline housemates. You get the feeling she's just waiting for her moment to shine. Perhaps it'll be a moment you'd like to share with her in the quiet and loving security of your home. We certainly hope so. All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
